Artist's Comments

I did a first session with my sister's fish in my kitchen and was actually working on over exposition to get lighter colors. That's only when I reviewed my pictures, I saw how the biscuits' box with cats on it could really get interesting.

Today was the second session. I did 37 shots before getting the good one: a picture where cats and fish are face to face, cats mocking the fish in its bowl. I wanted to give the fish a reason to be happy of its condition, so I gave it colors while turning the rest of the picture into b&w.

Of course, you can find a deeper meaning to this shot, I never said there was none...

Hope you'll like this shot.

Great idea, but the reflections in the bowl are kinda disturbing to me.
Maybe you can try again with better lighting?

very cool.....very cool...:)

looks like the fish is saying "yeah now look who is in a bowl"

The idea is just beautiful. I'll never get tired of your work... Have you seen my journal? Take a look!

Well, at first it was meant to be another symbol of freedom, but your comment is good anyway. I'll see what I can do!

I would have to disagree with 'chookie'. I found the reflections one of my favourite aspects of this picture. There is so much going on here. The adorable/ hilarious expression that both the cat and the fish are making, and the reflections dancing off of it. Showing us that these arent just pictures, but life. Fabulous yet again. New Favourite.

J'adore cette image, la manipulation est impecable, juste ce qui faut.Ey les chats qui narguent le poisson, c'est sympa.Un sens plus profond, bien sur, l'enfermement, le bocal, la boite etc, traité avec humour...super.

I love the opposition of colours vs black&white ! It adds a whole layer of meaning !

And i'm in awe of your photographic skill !! This is one really good picture !
